Espresso uses a dynamic formula: the annualized rate is 0.03 / √(2 × participation). At current participation of roughly 27%, the network rate is about 4.1%. At 50% participation it would be 3%, and at 100% about 2.1%. Rates fluctuate and are not guaranteed.
